I mean how the studies are conducted.

Why because it isn’t diagnosing these fat people with disorders to explain their fatness, rather than just telling them they are eating too much?

Love it when they tell these fat people ‘no it’s not your genes, not your metabolism and not your glans, you’re just a greedy pig’.

You know what they say, “If a fat person ate what they said they ate, they’d be thin.”

Thats not the way diabetes works. It only affects our insulin production and/or make you insulin resistant. How is the vegan diet not high carb? As I said, I know from experience what kinds of food affect blood sugars differently. Eating the way vegans eat (legumes, nuts, fruits, grains) would give me some pretty nasty complications (result of high blood glucose).
Watch the video I linked, it shows you that complex carbs (longer chains of glucose) are turned into glucose instantaneously

Okay, fine, I’m clearly not going to convince you and you’re not going to convince me. I didn’t know you were diabetic, though, and that does make a difference in how you process carbs, so I can see how a low carb diet could work for you at least. I still maintain that complex carbs do not break down at the same rate as simple carbs and that veganism is not inherently a high carb diet. I do see your logic, but please don’t insult my intelligence because I haven’t presented any untrue information

And the difference between the standard, and this diet is that my energy does not drop rapidly, I feel full of energy at all times. This is the difference between us: /watch?v=3PZno7Nkuuw. You ofc are that little, ‘unwise’ lets say, lady.

That is total bullshit and you are very misinformed. ‘Complex’ carbs get broken into glucose in the mouth, which result in the same thing going down your throat. Though there probably are some differences between simple and complex carbs.
Beeing a type 1 diabetes I can tell you from EXPERIENCE that both white and brown bread rase my bloodsugar at the same speed and the same amount.
I eat a very low carb diet and I go to the gym 4-5 times a week. Continued->

Complex carbs take longer than simple carbs to break down, it’s not the same speed. White bread contains carbs/sugars that are much more processed than in whole grain foods, which results in very fast burning sugars (a high GI), which cause big blood glucose spikes. Complex carbs are better fuel because they raise blood glucose much slower, thus longer-lasting energy. And yes, if you work out a lot, you could eat more carbs because you will burn them off first.

Then respond properly to my comment. “Grains, beans, legumes, vegetables. Only thing in this list that is not high carb are some vegetables.” Is this not the vegan diet?

If I go to the gym 4-5 days a week, should I eat alot more carbs than the sedetary person?

Grains = not high carb?, fruit = not high carb? beans?, legumes? vegetables like tomatoes? (which technically are also fruits?

Also PLEASE inform me, what is the difference between white and brown bread? Complex and simple carbs turn into glucose almost at the same speed WHILE YOUR CHEWING on it. So what ends up in your stomach is basically sugar. Its more correct to differentiate between fast and slow acting carbs.

So, you think that vegans = fruitarians? NOPE

And by “balance” all I meant was you should be getting the amount of carbs, protein, and fat that is appropriate for your activity level and body rather than drastically cutting carbs or raising protein. Sorry, I wasn’t clear on that.

Excuse me? Could you please not make assumptions about my experience with nutrition? I know what a carbohydrate is. The studies I’ve read about this say that eating a lot of foods with *high glycemic indexes* can increase risk. Legumes, nuts, veggies, fruits, and whole grains all have low GIs. Sure, there may be some vegans who gorge on white bread and refined sugar (which are often not vegan, in any case), or just happen to eat a lot of carbs, but veganism is not inherently a high carb diet.

Some people do not eat animal products, yet eat all other foods. Where are these inherent sugary carbs you are refering to?
